PARK SPECIFICS
PARK SPECIFICS
The EverGreene Technology Park is a 21st Century collaborative business community for the Energy Industry and other technology-focused, forward-thinking companies.
A Mecca for the Energy Industry:
As domestic and international energy markets grow, the Energy Industry seeks new, economically-viable sources to meet the demand. In recent years, the ability to extract natural gas from previously-untapped shale deposits through advances in drilling technolgy comes at a critical juncture for the economic and strategic position of the United States and our energy independence.
The EverGreene Technology Park [located in Waynesburg, PA] sits directly on top of some of the country’s most active natural gas exploration and production plays, the Marcellus Shale.
The discovery of the Marcellus Shale natural gas is widely viewed as a bridge between the age of oil and the next energy paradigm. Large-scale commercial development in this region started ramping up in 2005 and continues to build momentum, having already impacted Pennsylvania’s economy to the tune of several billion dollars in economic impact. With a long, rich history in energy production (i.e. Appalachian Basin Coal), our region finds itself strategically-positioned to serve all companies involved in this important industry sector.
